I recently joined a facebook page called “Farmer hats” and I don’t know why but it cracks me up. I love the idea and it’s such a fun group, but reading some of the “hats” that people are wearing make me giggle. I have seen metaphorical hats ranging from shoveling manure to jamming to Keith Urban. Last night I got to put on a new hat that was public speaking.
My town has this amazing group of women that came up with a service called WOW (Women of worship). They host it every other month and have speakers, worship, fellowship, and amazing snacks. Last nights theme was about using the gifts God gave us to help others. For some odd reason, they thought I would be a good fit for that nights speaker! I was actually more excited than nervous because I have been wanting to do more speaking, and what a perfect opportunity to try my hand at it. I gave my testimony about how God led me to start this blog and what my mission and goals are. Someday soon I will make a post on it.
While I was in town I left the boys with Jake. He was working ground and was going to just put Porter in his car seat in the tractor. I pulled out the baby carrier and strapped it on him. Much to my surprise he absolutely loved it! Porter slept in it for two hours while on the tractor. Maybe this means I can send him with dad more often!
