I just want to tell people about Jesus.

There are so many other things I could do and say to grab the attention of people.

There are so many words I could use that might give me a bigger audience.

There are so many things.

But, if my goal is to tell people about Jesus, I will not choose to say the “right things” that will always make me more likable.

If my goal is to tell people about Jesus, I will not do everything that will put me under a spotlight.

If my goal is to tell people about Jesus, I will not settle for putting empty words into hearts that are longing to be filled by something. Anything.

You see, the world already has enough of the world. I don’t need to add my own little piece of destruction to it.

“We remember before our God and Father your work produced by faith, your labor prompted by love, and your endurance inspired by hope in our Lord Jesus Christ.”

1 Thessalonians 1:3

If I want to live out this verse, I refuse to let the world dictate the fruit that I am producing.

I refuse to let anything that I am doing be inspired by anything other than Jesus and His love.

I refuse to say anything other than what is true and good.

And friend, I hope that you are on the same page as me.

I hope that your heart is breaking for people that feel empty and don’t know why.

I hope that you see a need for a change in this broken and dark world.

And that change can start happening.

It happens when we choose to forget about our own insecurities and decide to reach out to someone who is hurting.

It happens when we love people that act like they don’t want to be loved.

It happens when we choose to be Jesus to the people that don’t know Him.

Jesus gave these clear instructions to His disciples: “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation.” (Mark 16:15)

Let’s use our voices to show people who Christ is.

Let’s use our voices to show people a deeper, eternal love is real and alive.

Let’s use our voices to tell God that we want to do the work that He commanded us to do.

And let’s do. that. work.

Now.

I don’t want to keep letting my limitations convince me that God has limitations.

I want them to remind me that God is so much greater than I am and that he can do the unimaginable.

I don’t want my words to be an empty shout into the void.

I want them to be filled with the Spirit and go straight into the hearts of those that are lost.

I don’t want to talk so I can be heard.

I just want to tell people about Jesus.
