Calling myself an amateur photographer would be giving myself way too much credit. I wish I was that good, but no such luck. I did happen to sucker my husband into getting me a nice camera for Christmas last year though so that I can pretend I have skills.
I took the boys to the field last night and attempted to get some good pictures of them. We picked a bad night to do it because I caught them in the middle of moving fields and by the time they got going the sun was almost too low. Positioning two children is so much harder than one. I would get one of them perfect and smiling at the camera and the other would be looking at the ground, or get them sitting still and Grady would let Porter fall over. I didn’t get a “perfect” picture, but their expressions and poses are their personalities and I love them. I am going to have to print out a couple of the funny ones because we couldn’t stop laughing going through them last night.
First picture I took. I thought “okay, not too bad. Now I just need Grady to look at the camera.”
Then this happened. Not sure why he thought the best hand placement would be his brother’s head…but he went with it.
It was my fault for placing them in the sun, but it was the only angle I could get the combine in the background.
So we went with the “kiss your brother” pose to avoid severe eye squinting.
Like that.
I like Porter looking at Grady in this one. I feel like he was thinking “Does she do this every year?”
I love combine pictures.
I believe these may be the two most precious boys that God has put on this earth (so far).
