This easy pear pie is sure to be a hit whether you’re taking it to the field or to Christmas dinner.
We don’t eat dessert year-round, but I do make a dessert every night during harvest. This easy pear pie is always at the top of the list. It is quick and easy to make, and it is absolutely delicious. Also, I know it’s not techinally a pie, but we’re going with it anyways.
Grab yourself about 4 large pears, and peel and slice them. This dessert is just as good with apples in case pears aren’t your thing, but either way, you won’t be disappointed.
Sprinkle the pears with cinnamon and sugar, and feel free to add more or less. We like a lot of cinnamon, so sometimes I get a little carried away.
Mix together your softened butter, egg, flour, sugar, and salt. The batter is going to be thick.
Try to smoosh down the batter a little bit to help it spread out. Don’t worry about it too much, though. It’ll spread out when it bakes.
Bake at 350 for 45-50 minutes, or until the edges just start to brown and the batter is fully cooked.
I should also warn you that before you know what has happened, you might find yourself with a fork in hand standing over a half-eaten pie. Don’t say I didn’t warn you.Let me know how much you enjoyed this easy pear pie!
