Oh Cecil the lion, what an uproar that has been caused because of your death. A fire has been lit under the activists and they are chomping at the bit ready to take down every person who has ever hunted, owned livestock, or eaten a piece of meat. I am seeing countless lies spread around social media and a lot of hypocritical statements from some of these so-called “animal rights activists”. Today though I am focusing only on the farming and ranching side of things.

If you have ever been around agriculture then you and I both know the majority of farmers and ranchers treat their animals with great respect and care. I’m not saying everyone, because there always has to be a few in the crowd to ruin it for everyone. If you were to ask PETA though, we are all corrupt, evil, animal abusers who deserve to rot. They aren’t interested in the 99% of us who do things the right way. They would rather seek out a story they can amplify or twist to fan the flame of their followers to rally against us. And it’s working great for them! That’s why it’s time for us to step up our game.

YOU know how your animals are treated and respected, but other people probably don’t. Step up and be an advocate for not only your family and farm, but for the entire farming and ranching community. Every one of us have a platform of social media that we can use to help combat the lies being told. It’s our job to tell our stories and protect what we have for the future generations. They are depending on us.
