Every year when April rolls around, I’m anxiously awaiting {real} Spring and all that comes with it. I love the flowers blooming, everything turning green again, and the warm weather. But there’s always a tiny pit in my stomach, because I know that with all of those things, also comes the busiest seasons.
The seasons that bring the longest hours, the late nights, and lonely heart of missing my husband. When patience can run thin and the exhaustion can take over.
But it’s in those times where we are stretched and worn that instead of relying on ourselves and each other, we remember it’s God that we have to lean into. Going back into the busy season can be a little daunting, but it can also bring good.
It can help remind us that we’re a team, and it takes 100% from both parties to make this thing work. We remember how to give grace upon grace upon grace. We get to admire the grit and determination in each other. And we get to treasure the few minutes of alone time at night before drifting off to sleep mid-sentence. We know that this hard work and busy season is worth it. So worth it.
Proverbs 10:4-5 Lazy hands make for poverty, but diligent hands bring wealth. He who gathers crops in summer is a prudent son, but he who sleeps during harvest is a disgraceful son.
Hello I live the faith and farming every day. And this morning I was late to a bible study because I had to change my irragation. I was unhappy then somehow my phone brought me to you. Amen thank you. Proverbs 10 4 and 5
